I always find myself immersed in fabulous, location-driven settings with richly depicted, unorthodox families, strong female characters and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments.
The Godmothers is all of that and more. A warm, hilarious and hopeful story about family, friendships and secrets. Eliza is such a compelling protagonist – she’s strong, resilient and it was truly a delight to follow her journey. I also enjoyed reading about Eliza’s relationship with her two godmothers, Olivia and Maxie, which was portrayed beautifully.
The Godmothers is the ultimate comfort-read: Delightful and uplifting, with more than a few twists and turns to keep you going. Why not pour yourself a cup of tea, put your feet up and lose yourself in this wonderful story.
